In 2012, Canada will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne. To mark this Diamond Jubilee, the Harper Government will implement special initiatives to honour The Queen’s reign, her service and her dedication to this country, and to celebrate Canadian achievements of the last 60 years.
The second funding cycle for Diamond Jubilee Community Celebrations has been launched. This cycle covers activities that will take place between September 1, 2012, and December 31, 2012.
